A boy named Sous-Chef

Miles helped me with the pie crust for this Spinach Quiche this afternoon. He fluted the edges for me! Great job, Milo! He tasted the spinach mixture and let out a hearty, "Love it!".

Just in case you didn't know, Avery is also known as Clark around here...often times I hear Clark and Bruce Wayne discussing how many shooters are on a certain matchbox car. Or I'm shown how a stick (much like a swiss army knife) has so many facets..."this is the shooter, and this is the ray gun, and this is the bow 'n arrow, and this lasers bad guys, and this is where you can see into the future..."

Jillian's First Month

This first month came and went too quickly!! Jillian came into our lives and fits right in like she's been here all the while! She survived her first cold (got it at 2 1/2 weeks old!). She's as sweet as can be and we just love her to pieces. People wonder if we're done...maybe because we "got the girl". But, it would be nice if she could have a sister, right? And Avery--who loves her dearly--said he'd like another little brother! It's really too soon to say anything, just fun to think about.

Well, I'm almost embarrassed to start a blog, but I thought it'd be nice for the folks. Or it will be nice for our friends when they run out of old school buddies to look up on google. I have no clue if we'll keep it up. But, seeing as how I can't/don't doing any scrap booking right now, this just feels right.

Since we've been home from the hospital, I haven't been able to imagine sticking Jillian between these guys and standing far back enough to get a picture. To their credit, the boys love her so well. I have observed no jealousy or boredom with her arrival. So, now that I'm posting this, I realize I need to get over the fear of them dropping her or sitting on her or pulling her apart so that I can enjoy more pictures of the three of them together!
