Ha! How old was Brent when he wrote that?

you're kidding, right? that's MY parenting...and Avery's handi-work.

I can't decide whether it was desperate or brilliant.

Yeah, kidding. Good idea, though. I'll have to remember that. And the nice thing about it is that the kid never has to know whether it was desperate or brilliant. :)

I'm curious to know what Avery does to get himself in trouble...:)

I'm curious too, what did the boy do?? It is a good discipline & they will have better hand writing skills no doubt!!

we would like a blog post explaining the circumstances attending that picture of your husband with the towel in his mouth.

You ARE a homeschool wannabee!

Come on over! Join the club. We would love to have you and your husband over if you want to talk about how we do things ... little different than some folks but, I think, fun and effective.

theophilus-
that's in the drafts folder. just started yesterday, but i'm working on it.

and btw (carol, i think you were wondering), that's a towel in his mouth.

and i'll just let you know it's his big toe that's in all sorts of pain.

more to come...

Oh boy, do I ever remember those same assignments. "I will not hit my brother, because I love him." 500x. I think I had a spiral notepad solely for such punishments.

seriously? 500 times??? i can't imagine how that last set of 100 looked. hand-writing tires my hands so much. i almost feel badly about having him write stuff out 20 times.

Poor Brent, I feel sorry for him already!!! Really!!!

Love it! My mom used to totally make me doing "writing assignments." Good intervention
