As if I needed another mess to clean up.

what is that green stuff? ;-) Veggies are foreign objects in this house. Sad but true

You are so right! Besides, in order to reach all those veggies that I have to wash and chop, I have to pass by the meatballs from dinner last night. Their siren song is so hard to ignore!

I LOVE salad especially when someone else makes and serves it!
I always think it's never quite the same at home. One of the reasons must be because I know the effort and mess it takes!

Is that a really large block of Kirkland cheese I see? We have the same hunk in our fridge. Sadly it doesn't take long to finish it.

I told you myself...hate lunch...if I could take a pill...well I could it just goes against what I believe in this area....i would....so.very.bored.by.lunch. If I had a solution outside of ordering takeout everyday, I'd write a book.

Making salad is indeed time consuming and messy. I have 2 friends over once a month and I make mac and cheese for the kids and salads for the grown ups. It feels like a treat and encourages me to eat better. The best thing though is when someone else has made the salad. They seem tastier when made and cleaned up by someone else:)

Hilarious! That's exactly what my kitchen looked like yesterday after my sister-in-law left. Seriously, it's a mess.

But it tastes oh so good!

Yep, I love salad, but hate making it. Ditto what everybody else said. Good for you for diving in.

We have a salad almost daily -- I just keep it simple: lettuce from the salad spinner (I cut it up and rinse it right when I get home from the grocery store so that it's always ready), baby carrots from the bag, tomatoes if we have any, pre-shredded cheddar, croutons.
