It was 11am and I hadn't heard from Brent. He always checks in with me by mid-morning.
I couldn't remember* him telling me that he had any meetings. Huh? I thought for a short moment,
Could I be Left Behind**???
*Actually, I forgot that he had his annual review today. I'm losin' it!
** I've never read Left Behind.

Hi Jenna! you posted on my website maybe already a year ago - and it was so nice to hear from you, though strangely, my webhost gives me no way of responding back to those "guestbook" comments. lame. I was also getting spammed into submission. so I shut down the guestbook. I can't believe you have three children, two of which look enormous, and it's delightful to read about your momentary concern of being *left behind*. I hope this finds you and your family happy and healthy!
ps, now I just discovered your sewing blog too. you are packing a one-two punch of creative inspiration
This very same thing happened to me in 6th grade. I woke up somewhat late on a weekend and the house was so extremely quiet. I looked around the house and even went outside and my parents were nowhere to be found. Just as I started thinking I was "left behind" my parents come walking up the driveway with our dogs-they never went for morning walks......oh the relief!
